Use Your Voice for Change Now

Your Dream Starts Here

Use Your Voice for Change Now

Do you want to make a difference? We are so excited to share our thoughts on the importance of using our voices for change. President Obama said, One voice can change a room, and if one voice can change a room, then it can change a city, and if it can change a city, it can change a state, and if it can change a state, it can change a nation, and if it can change a nation, it can change the world. Your voice can change the world.”

Using your voice is the best way to express your passions, your beliefs, and push for the change that you want to see in your life and environment.

Everyone has a unique story to tell. To find yours, simply ask yourself where your passion comes from. Why you are using your voice to fight for change? Use that reason as the elevator pitch that amplifies your voice — and your greatest weapon in bringing about change.

If we take a look back in history, we observed that it was through speeches, rallies, and protests that allowed people to speak out about the things that they believe in. It was also how others became involved.

Even today, we are all using our voices to fight for equal rights for all races and genders. Even in the extreme political climate, free speech is being utilized to its highest ability. Now, both sides are able to state their opinion and find a common ground.

Using our voice for change is an easy and impactful way to make a difference in your own community, as well as enacting change on a national level too!

Resistance to change

We must also address that there will be resistance to change. It is important to note that the better we are at seeing what causes resistance, the easier it will be to build support for our ideas. In other words, if we understand resistance, we also understand the other side of that coin – support for change.

People usually support us or resist us for three possible reasons. If it is resistance, then:

  • They don’t get it (Level 1)( Lack of information) and/or
  • They don’t like it (Level 2)(an emotional reaction to the change) and/or
  • They don’t like you or who you represent (Level 3)

Remember, people may understand the idea you are suggesting (Level 1), and they may even have a good feeling about the possibilities of this change (Level 2) – but they won’t go along if they don’t trust you.

How can you use your voice to turn resistance into support

  • Make sure people know why a change is needed. Before you talk about how you want to do things, explain why something must be done. To get them fully involved you must connect on a more personal level. This connection always starts at the level of one voice.
  • Emphasize what’s in it for them. People need to believe that the change will serve them in some way. For example, work will be easier, relationships will improve, career opportunities will open up, or job security will increase.
  • Keep commitments. Demonstrate that you are trustworthy

**Side Note**

Use your voice to be catalyst for change in finance

We strongly believe that indignation can be the catalyst for change in our financial situation, during this pandemic. We have all taken a look at our present financial and lifestyle situation, and no one should have to pay for the current crisis we are in. But, many people believe that institutions are cutting social safety nets that make people more vulnerable and dependent on debt.

Financial management is not enough. It is important for us to also “join a movement”. Ostensibly one that is working to ensure, the transformation of our global financial situation. This allows us to finance the change that puts focus back on the real economy and fosters ecological sustainability and social equity. Where our money is placed today will dictate the kind of society we’ll have.

We insist that change is doable, even if the transformation will be tricky to pull off.  While there continue to be many more issues in today’s society, the use of our voices will also continue to grow. Listen, share, and don’t let others silence you. One voice can spark a new movement that leads to a better world.
